Palatino is an old-style serif typeface designed by Hermann Zapf.

Based on the humanistic serif designs of the Renaissance, Palatino differs by being more legible. It does this by having lighter strokes and being proportionally larger than the Renaissance letters.

This typeface is typically used for body copy, but in this type specimen, it's shown in color, different hierarchies and scales.
